Mary Agnes Lavina Garbutt (nee Reid)
Of Caledon. Peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre on Saturday May 4, 2013, in her 88th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Donald. She is survived by her son Keith, and daughter in law, Lisa, and by her very precious grandchildren, Alison and William. Also survived by her brothers Jim, and Gordon (Jean), and her sister Joanne (Mack), her sisters in law Myrtle Reid, Lois Reid, Belle Garbutt, and Lillian Garbutt. Mary was predeceased by her brothers John, and Ken; and her two precious young sons Alan and Kevin. She was loved by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mary, a retired schoolteacher, had attended Home United Church for a great many years. She served as an elder, was a member of UCW Group, The Women's Institute, and citizen's advisory committee for a great number of years.
Family and friends were everything to her. She will be very much missed by her family and friends. Friends will be received at J.S. Jones and Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd, Georgetown, on Wednesday May 8th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Funeral service on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery to follow.
