Mark Skypas

Skypas, Mark – Peacefully, surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at the Georgetown Hospital. Mark, loving husband of 48 years to the late Victoria (2018). Loving father to Bryan (Jennifer) and Marcus (Caroline). Cherished Pa of Matthew (Ivana), Sophia, Vanessa and Jessica. Dear brother of Irene Skypas. Mark was born in Aetos, Greece and in 1951 came to Canada with his family. They decided to settle in Hamilton where he later severed as a police officer, and then moved on to be Supervisor of Investigation for the Liquor License Board of Ontario. Along side his father he owned and operated many restaurants in Hamilton and Toronto. He loved grilling his favourite foods at family events, taking scenic drives with his beloved wife Victoria, and making his world famous sandwiches for his grandchildren. Mark also had a great love for sports, in addition to being great at the 100m hurdles and baseball, he was also a dedicated Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Yankees fan throughout his life. Mark will truly be missed by all who knew him, he will live in our hearts forever.
