Marion Lou Gilmour

Passed away peacefully in the presence of Sam, in her 86th, year on Tuesday, February 14th , 2017.
Beloved wife of ‘Sam' Robert Gilmour for 56 years. Loving mom of Jane and Mitchell Jewell and Laura and Michael Hachey. Cherished Grandy to Alexandra and Benton Jewell and Adam and Sarah Hachey.
Born in New York City, she is the daughter of the late Toni and Gordon McConnell. She will be fondly remembered by many close friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. Marion was proud to be an elementary school teacher for over 30 years and touched the lives of many.
She will be remembered for her deep dedication to her family, quick wit, elegant style and her tireless involvement in her church and community.
As per Marion's wishes, cremation has taken place and a family interment service was held at Greenwood Cemetery. A celebration of Marion's life will take place at St. Andrew's United Church on Saturday April 22nd@2:00pm. In memory, donations to St. Andrew's United Church would be appreciated.
