Marinus Eduard Wintjes

Wintjes, Marinus Eduard "Edward"- Passed peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto. Edward, in his 85th year, beloved husband of Connie for 56 years. Loving father of Jasper (Trudi), Albert (Susan) and Chantel (Paul) Ravensdale. Wonderful Opa of Matthew (Sydne), Dillon (Kailey), Jacob and Michaela. Born in 1932 in The Netherlands, Marinus and his lifelong love, Connie, came to Canada in 1967 where he worked for AECL until his retirement. Marinus' passion for life and love of music inspired all of his children and grandchildren. Very special thanks to the caring palliative nurses at St. Margaret's Cancer Centre and to Drs. Goldstein and Brison. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Tuesday from 7-9 pm. Funeral liturgy will be held in the chapel on Wednesday September 13, 2017, at 11:00 am. Cremation.
