Schneider, Marilyn Isobel. Peacefully at her beloved and beautiful home, with her family and friends by her side, on Monday September 12, 2016, after a brief but extremely brave and dignified battle with cancer. Marilyn, in her 75th year, is the incredibly loving and dedicated Mum of Kevin Scott and Andrea Joy, and their partners Helen and Robin. She is the proudest and most devoted Nana to Ella, Naomi, Willow and Gideon, the brightest little lights of her life. She is caring Sister to Carol and her husband Keith, and dear Aunt of Julia, Tanya, Joel, and Julia's partner Sean. She is fellow musketeer to Pam, Joanne, and Marie. Marilyn is predeceased by her husband Klaus, her parents Dorothy and Cecil Barth, and her sister Melody Sue. She leaves behind countless friends, fellow teachers, her St. John's Community, her country garden, and the home that she and Klaus built and that she lived in for nearly 50 years. She will be achingly and unimaginably missed by her children and grandchildren, who love her "as wide as the sky." Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd, Georgetown, 905-877-3631, on Friday September 16, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. John's United Church (11 Guelph St, Georgetown) on Saturday September 17 at 11:00 a.m. Marilyn's flowers will be coming from her garden, so please instead consider a donation in her honour to Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills or Georgetown Hospital, which provided wonderful support and care to Mom during her illness.
