Marilyn Marie Muirhead

Marilyn Marie Muirhead (nee Nicholson) peacefully passed on May 20, 2021.
Loving mother to Diane Borillo (Tom), Brian Muirhead (Maureen), Ken Muirhead (Cathie), and Mark Muirhead. Beloved grandmother to Michael, Matthew, Mitchell, Nicole, Dana, John and Ben. Dear sister of Anne Pedersen.
Predeceased by her brothers Don, Gerry, and Eugene Nicholson. Daughter of Robert and Catherine Nicholson.
Born August 24, 1934 in Monkton, Ontario, Marilyn spent her early years in Toronto and eventually moved to Georgetown to raise her family.
Marilyn enjoyed a successful career in Real Estate and eventually retired to spend her golden years in Burlington, Ontario. She lived an active life and was proud of the fact she was the oldest member at her gym. Marilyn loved to travel and was always heading off somewhere, she especially loved her annual visits to Florida over the last 25 yrs. She enjoyed a couple of European Cruises with all her children, and a couple of Carribbean Cruises with her siblings. Her travels were all about family. Marilyn will be remembered for her love of life, her quick wit and contagious laughter. She was at her best surrounded by her family and grand kids especially around a card table playing Euchre.
Marilyn cherished her summers with her children, family and friends at Lake Huron on Point Clarke beach and were some of the fondest memories we all reminisced about in later years.
Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, Georgetown, on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private family service will be held on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers donations if desired can be sent to the Integra Foundation of Toronto for "Camp Towhee" in memory of Marilyn Muirhead.
