Varju, Maria de la Luz ("Lucy") - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lucy on March 16, 2015 at Extendicare Halton Hills in Georgetown in her 82nd year. Lucy died peacefully, leaving behind her loving husband, Hendrik Varju. Her memory will be cherished by her children, Magdalena and Hendrik, her son-in-law, Mark, her daughter-in-law, Laryssa, and her grandchildren, Meghan, Noah and Anka. Friends will be received at J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., Georgetown (905-877-3631) on Wednesday between 7 and 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown on Thursday March 19th at 10:00 am.
