Margaret Shaw

Margaret Shaw, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024, in Georgetown, Ontario. She was 76 years old.

Margaret was the devoted wife of James Shaw for over 50 years, sharing a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together, they created a beautiful family, including their son Greg (Sheri) and daughter Kimberley. Margaret found immense joy in being a grandmother, and her grandchildren, Everett and Vivienne, were the lights of her life.

Born into a close-knit family, Margaret was the sister to Peter, Danny, James, and Theresa, and was preceded in death by her beloved sister Ann, who was not only a sister but also her best friend.

A quiet soul with a strong faith, Margaret had a warm spirit that drew people to her. She treasured her movie dates with friends and the adventures she shared with James or Ann, traveling the world and creating lasting memories. Above all, she was a mother first and foremost, nurturing her family with unconditional love and kindness.

A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown. Friends and family are invited to join us in honoring her memory. A livestream link is provided below for those unable to attend in person.
