Margaret Mary O'Flaherty

O'Flaherty, Margaret May - Sadly we announce the passing of Margaret Mary O'Flaherty on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 in her 92nd year. Predeceased by parents John Herbert and Winnifred O'Flaherty, sister Nora and by brothers Frank (Mary) and Raymond (Nancy). Survived by brother Kevin (Gail) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Marg grew up in Merritton and was a proud member of the Merrymacs softball team, was active in many other sports and was a lifelong curler. Marg was a graduate of Niagara University with a degree in Science. She moved to Georgetown where she worked for Varian Associates. Longtime member of "The Seekers" small Christian faith group and Catholic Women's League and was a driver for "Meals on Wheels" for 15 years. Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Sunday, June 16, 2019 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow, and inurnment to take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery in St. Catharines at a later date. Contributions to the Holy Cross Catholic Church or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
