Burns, Margaret Lavina "Lena" (nee Lawson) - Peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the Brampton Civic Hospital. Lena, in her 95th year, predeceased by her beloved husband of 66 years, Clare. Loving mother of Steven (Susan), Janet (Scott), and Julie (Paul). Predeceased by her daughter Patty Burns-Mellor. Loved grandmother of Joe, Heather, Kimberly, David, and Danny. Great grandmother of Amy, Jack, Olive, Lucy, Evelyn, Nora, and Elsie. Dear sister of Barbara. Predeceased by her siblings Gordon, Betty, and Earnie. Friends will be received at St. George's Anglican Church, 60 Guelph St., Georgetown, on Monday, August 12th, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Georgetown, for family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation, or the Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills, would be appreciated.
