Mara Ostojic

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Mara Ostojic, born October 22, 1945 in Krehin Gradac, Citluk Hercegovina, passing away June 20, 2024 in the Georgetown Hospital.

Loving wife of Ante, greatly loved mother to Sandra (Damir) and Denis, proud and loving baba to Maks. Dear sister to Ruza, Anda and Simun, predeceased by her sister Mira and brother Andrija. Also left grieving are families Ostojic, Mijatovic, Planinic, Pehar, Doko, Zubac, Dujmovic, Krndelj and Schomer, many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends in Canada and Hercegovina.

Mama, you are desperately missed. You will forever stay in our hearts and your legacy of unconditional love will forever endure. Through unspeakable sadness we find serenity in knowing you have reunited with loved ones. With eternal love, rest in peace Mama.

Family and friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905)-877-3631 on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 6:00-9:00 pm. Krunica (prayers) will be held in the chapel at 8:15 pm. A Funeral mass will be held at Queen of Peace Croatian Franciscan Centre 9118 Winston Churchill Blvd., Norval on Wednesday June 26, 2024 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Georgetown. Reception to follow at the Queen of Peace Reception Hall.
