Mae Darlene Duchin

Duchin, Mae Darlene – On Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the age of 86, Mae was reunited with her loving husband, Paul, and cherished daughter Deborah.

Mae was the daughter of Thomas and Jessie.

Mom will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her children Doug (Denise), Delbert, Denise Garron (Steven), Dean (Christine).

Proud grandma of Lori (Dom), Kelly (Stephen), Zach, Max, Shelby (Logan), Danielle, Madison, Devin and Maegan. Great-grandma of Lyra and Ellie.

Predeceased by siblings Anne, Irene, Jack, Albert, Alice, Edith, Harold and Donny.

She enjoyed cooking, walks on the beach in Nova Scotia, reading and was a master of Jeopardy and crosswords.

Mae graduated from the Sheridan College with a diploma in Human Studies. She went on to become a social worker in Saskatchewan.

After retirement, Mae enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, travelling down south and summering at her cottage in New Brunswick. She later settled in Fergus, Ontario.

Friends and family will be received at the Trafalgar Room at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, Ontario (905) 877-3631 to celebrate Mae’s life on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
