Lynda Marie Evans

Peacefully, with family by her side, and showing her strength and determination until the very end, on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Chapman House Hospice, Owen Sound, in her 64th year. Lynda, loving daughter of the late Ted Evans and Eleanor (née Glover). Beloved sister of Carol (Ian) Crichton, Donna, and the late brother Rick, sister-in-law of the late Len Brownlow. Lynda will be fondly remembered by her nieces Melanie (Joe), Jessica (Todd), Holly (John) and nephew Mike (Melissa); and many grandnieces/nephews: Evan, Colin, special angel Danica, and Jason, Breanna, Alannah, Ethan, Lindsey, Claire, Marshall and Presley.

The family wishes to thank the countless doctors, nurses, and staff at Brightshores Health System, Southampton and Chapman House Hospice, Owen Sound for all of their care and support, with a special mention to Dr. Sandu and Dr. L. Chapman.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Wildlife Federation would be appreciated by the family.

The Celebration will be held at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd, Georgetown, in the Trafalgar Room on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 2:00 pm - 4:00pm. Food and refreshments will be provided. If you have any photos or pictures you would like to display, please feel free to bring them.

All who knew Rick and Lynda are welcome to stop by, share stories and remember them in the way they would have wanted, surrounded by friends and family and laughter.

A private family interment will be held afterwards at Georgetown’s Greenwood Cemetery.
