Loane James Armstrong,
Peacefully, on Thursday October 11, 2012 at the Georgetown Hospital. Loane, in his 99th year, husband of the late Agnes (nee Sweet). Loving father of Pat and her husband Bruce May and Janet Rafuse and the late Jim all of Mount Forest and father-in-law of Dee Armstrong of Stratford. Loved grandfather of Terry Anne (Pete) Thomson, David (Karen) Etherington, Bradley (Michelle) Armstrong and Edward Armstrong. Great-grandfather of Bailey, Owen, Sara, Alissa and Logan. Dear brother of Violet Reid. Also predeceased by his son-in-law Garth, great-granddaughter Emma and by his brothers Bill, Andy and Walter.
Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Saturday October 20, 2012 from 1:00 pm until time of memorial service in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow in the Trafalgar Room. Cremation has taken place.
