Barnes, Llewellyn “Ross”

Born in Horwood, Newfoundland, to Alva Marie Kinden and Wilfred John Barnes, Ross passed away peacefully on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Georgetown Hospital, in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Heather (née Murdoch), devoted father to Shawn, and loving grandfather to Makayla and Travis.

Ross was one of 16 siblings and is survived by Betty Wall, Joan Cull (Lloyd), Beatrice Boyd (Les), Debby Layte (Derrick), Gay Randell (Dave), and Verna Jacobs (Ivan). He was preceded in death by his siblings Harvey, Guy, Terry, Leon, Ivy Wallace (Allan), Rose Randell (Roger), Velma, Daphne, and Evelyn; his brother-in-law Gary Wall; and his nephew Cory. Proud of his “Newfie” roots, Ross moved to Ontario and was instrumental within the Saputo (Neilson) company for over 40 years. He will be fondly remembered by many friends and colleagues. Special thank you goes out to the staff and nurses at the Georgetown Hospital Complex Transitional Care Unit for their care and compassion.
