Lena Emmerson

Lena Pearl Emmerson (nee Rutledge)
Born December 29, 1915, passed peacefully in her 97th year, on Tuesday October 30, 2012 at the Georgetown Hospital, with her family by her side. Loving mother of Trudie and mother-in-law of Joan Emmerson. Predeceased by her daughter Marina, son Grant, husband Joseph, grandsons Brady Bludd and Timothy Bludd, granddaughter Shelley Emmerson and sons-in-law Terry Bludd and Rick McNiven. She was a loving grandmother to 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Lena was the 1st women to run for Town Council in Georgetown.
Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Friday from 1:00 pm until time of Funeral Service held in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Georgetown.
