Laurence (Larry) George Aldebert
August 17, 1937
With broken hearts, Larry’s family needed to let him be called home in the early Saturday morning of October 7, 2023.
Larry was predeceased by his parents, Doris and George Aldebert, sister Joy Duffield and wife Susanne Aldebert.
He leaves to mourn his loving and devoted wife Eloise, his adoring children, David, Wendy and Kathryn, to whom he was a wonderful Dad. His brother Russell (Sandra) and amazing Grandchildren, Lincoln, Stuart, Morgan, Carter, Cameron and his loving step children. Larry adored his devoted Nieces Paula and Donna and so many other cousins and extended family.
Larry was born in Toronto and lived there until he moved to Mississauga in late 1980. In 2000, with his wife Eloise he moved to Georgetown.
Larry was a dedicated man to service. He lived a life of volunteering, and helping others. He was a proud member of the Masonic organization for 55 years and an Ambassador for the Credit Valley Shriners. Larry was part of the transportation for the Shriners taking the children who needed care to the Shriners hospitals in Erie and Montreal.
Throughout the years Larry was a member of many organizations. He was an active member of St John’s and GlenWilliams United Church. He had been a president of Rotary, a member of the Camera Club, is a lifetime member of The Horticultural Society, a member of the Curling club until Covid and a wonderful woodworker and renovator handyman. Most of all Larry loved being a Master Gardener. He spent many years mentoring others and volunteering hours of service.
In early years Larry worked for Standard Trust. He left there to join his family Office Supply Business. Years later he left that business and joined the Toronto Police as a Court Officer. Larry retired in 1999.
