Larry Batten passed away peacefully at Georgetown Hospital on March 31, 2026, at the age of 66.
Born and raised in Newfoundland, then making his way to Georgetown, Ontario, Larry was a familiar and friendly face in the community. He was well known in and around town for the excellent work he did in flooring, taking great pride in every job and earning the trust and respect of many loyal customers over the years.Larry was the beloved son of Wilf and Dorothy Batten, and a dear brother to Linda, Jeff, Debbie, Tony, and Judy. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.An easy-going soul with a generous heart, Larry would do anything for anyone. He had a natural ability to make people laugh and feel at ease, and his sense of humour will be fondly remembered. In his spare time, he loved playing guitar, filling rooms with music and good times. He also found great enjoyment in woodworking, creating pieces with the same care and craftsmanship he brought to his work.Larry leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and hard work. He will be forever remembered by those whose lives he touched.
