Dietzold, Klaus- It is with a broken heart that we announce the passing of Klaus Dietzold. Born in Hamburg Germany in 1942, he came to Canada in 1965. He is predeceased by his parents Maximilian and Maria, of Berlin and leaves his loving wife Janice, of Georgetown. On his arrival to Canada he joined the young, innovative management team at Chrysler Canada, until later venturing into the hospitality industry. Shelley's, a well known seafood house at Oakville Harbour was his flagship restaurant which he owned and operated for over 20 years. Shelley's was a destination, hosting guests from all over the world, and hailed by American Express as Best Seafood Restaurant in Canada, for five consecutive years. He travelled the globe and revelled in discovering exotic cultures and cuisines. He was an avid collector of art and all things unique and had a story behind each and every piece. A successful man by all accounts, his greatest extravagance was his generosity. He lived life large with high spirits, big ideas and abundant love. Those who were fortunate to know him enjoyed his countless tales, some heartrending, many hilarious, but all reflecting a life rich in experience and achievement. The brighter the light, the deeper the darkness when it fades. A private cremation was held at Klaus' request. Special thanks to Dr. Zeni and the compassionate nursing team at Georgetown Hospital, who shared so much kindness and laughter with him. In his memory contributions can be made to the Cancer Assistance Services, a private charity that supports cancer patients and their families: 222 Mountainview Road, Georgetown, Ontario L7G 3R2
