Kim Duque

Kim Duque passed peacefully in her home, at the age of 56, on Wednesday, October 14th with family at her side, two months after being diagnosed with brain cancer. Kim was the loving wife to Tony, devoted mother to Amber (Greg), Jacinda, and adopted nephew Travis (Sharla). She will be lovingly missed by David Evans, her brothers, Glenn and Keith (Heather), and her nieces and nephews, Tyler, Kylen, Kieran and Elan.
Kim will be remembered by family and friends as a beautiful, kind, generous and loving woman, with incredible energy and enthusiasm for life. In particular, her passion for baseball, bike riding, snowshoeing (and anything that kept her moving), is what fulfilled her.
She inspired others with her positiveity, strength, and unconditional love and forgiveness, and would drop everything to help a friend in need.
A visitation with family and friends will be held at the JS Jones and Son Funeral Home at 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Ave., Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Tuesday, October 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 and a celebration of Kim's life will be held on Wednesday, October 21st from 11-12, with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, in memory of the joy that Kim had for thrift shopping.
