Kenneth Angus Macdonald

Kenneth Angus Macdonald passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on January 2, 2019 at Georgetown Hospital, just one month shy of his 94th birthday. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Laurette, brother Alastair, daughter Anne, and son-in-law Tom. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on February 9, 1925, Kenneth studied at the University of Glasgow, where he obtained a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry. He moved to Canada in 1956, and spent a few years in Montreal before relocating to Pennsylvania, and a few years after that, to Brampton, Ontario, and eventually Georgetown, Ontario, where he lived for over 50 years.
The Macdonald family is extremely grateful for the kindness and empathy exhibited by the staff and nurses at Georgetown Hospital in the days leading up to his passing.
The funeral service will be held at Jones Funeral Home in Georgetown, on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at 1 pm, with visitation at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation.
