Karen Bergsma

Bergsma, Karen – Peacefully, on Sunday November 13, 2022 at the Georgetown Hospital. Karen, in her 82nd year, beloved wife of Walter for 54 years. Loving mother of Anita Bergsma, Yolanda Chester (John De Haas), Mark Bergsma (Lorraine Cowan) and the late Wayne Bergsma (1991). Loved Oma of Zack (Nicole), Nathan, Matthew, Brandon (Alicia), Jason, Fiona and Kate. Great Oma of Liam. Dear sister of Han Hoogvorst and the late Siem Hoogvorst of Holland. Karen will be forever remembered by her family as a very caring and loving person, for her wonderful sense of humour and for her love of crafts and knitting. Family and friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown on Thursday November 17, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A private family interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Georgetown. A celebration of Karen’s life will take place at Holland Christian Homes, 7900 McLaughlin Road, Brampton on Friday November 18, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
