Our family mourns the loss and rejoices in the new life of our husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother and uncle Jozo Bokanovic who died at the William Osler Health System's Etobicoke General Hospital site, Thursday April 5th, 2018 in his 74th year. Born in Tomislavgrad, Herceg-Bosna on June 1, 1944, he was a son to Ivan and Iva Bokanovic, and brother to Kata, Mara, Luca & Ruza (deceased). Jozo is survived by his wife Iva; son Ivan (Joann) and daughter Ruza (Frank Viggiani). Jozo was the much loved, special Dida to five grandchildren: Luka, Mateo, Markus, Eva & Kristian.
Jozo is resting at Jones and Son Funeral Home (11582 Trafalgar Rd., Georgetown) where visitations will be held Sunday April 8th from 2-4pm and 6-9pm with Parish prayers (Croatian) will be said at the funeral residence on Sunday at 8pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated Monday April 9th at 10am at Queen of Peace - Croatian Franciscan Centre 9118 Winston Churchill Blvd, Norval.
