It is with both sorrow and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Joyce Lucille Marshall. Joyce (nee Herrington) left us on Thursday April 30th, 2026 at the Georgetown Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Ray Marshall and loving mother of Vicki (Paul) Walsh, Diane (Kevin) Moore and Sandra (Keith) Bridges. Proud grandmother of Carrie, Paula, Tammy (Kevin), Amy (Adam), Kevin, Jason (Jill) and Rachel (Brad). Great grandmother of Brendon, Chantal (Matt), Troy, Tyler, Shelby, Cole, Brody, Brayden, Alexander and Brynlee and great great grandmother to Riggs and Lucille. Survived by siblings Pauline Greenslade, Ronald “Butch” (Barb) Herrington and sister in law June (Eakins). Predeceased by siblings Bernice (Ernie) Cappus, Douglas (Vi) Herrington and Dolores “Mike” (Norm) Young.
Joyce was born and raised in Georgetown. An avid sports fan both playing and watching most sports. She had many jobs over her lifetime; The Apple Products in Glen Williams, the paper mill and Dominion Seedhouse in Georgetown.
Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905)877-3631 on Tuesday for 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
