Joy Smallwood

Smallwood, Joy Gertrude (nee Haines) - Passed away after a courageous battle, at her home in Glen Williams, surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. Joy, in her 66th year, beloved wife of 40 years to David Smallwood and loving mother to Krista. Predeceased by her parents Tom and Violet Haines, and her brothers John and "Bud" Haines. Dear daughter-in-law of Gertrude and the late Clarence Smallwood. Sister-in-law of Gerald and Shirley (Smallwood) Kelman and Gordon Smallwood. Special aunt to Jeff and Irene, Terry and Gloria, Scott and Karen, Chris and Lynn Haines and Nathan Kelman. She will be sadly missed by Jackie Crichton (Peter Newsom) as well as her many cousins, great nieces and nephews and her many friends in education and the Halton Board. A memorial service will be held at St. Alban's Anglican Church in Glen Williams on Sunday October 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm., with a celebration of Joy's life to follow at Eagle Ridge Golf Club. Cremation has taken place.
