Joseph Primus

Primus, Joseph - Passed away peacefully with family by his side the morning of Wednesday November 22nd 2017 at the age of 93. Beloved husband to his late wife Teresia (1992). Adored Father of Tom (Kelly) and Steve (Pauline). Treasured Grandfather to Chris (Anna) and Angela (Cory). Cherished Great Grandfather to Emily, Ryan, Madilyn, Michael and Olivia. Joe will be deeply missed by all immediate and extended family members and the numerous friends he made over his many years.
Born in Hungary in 1924, Joe immigrated to Canada as a farmhand in 1948, where he met his wife Teresia. Shortly thereafter he gained employment with Eaton’s as a delivery driver where he worked and retired from after 30 years of service.  Joe enjoyed his retirement years as an avid and accomplished bowler, golfer and euchre player. Joe thoroughly enjoyed his time with friends at the Hillsview Active Living Center. In his later years he was blessed to be able to spend time with five great grandchildren. Joe was a happy and humble man who enjoyed meeting people and sharing a laugh. He will be greatly missed by all.
The Primus family will receive friends and family at J.S. Jones and Sons Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown on Tuesday November 28th 2017 from 9:00 a.m. -11:00a.m. A Funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joe can be made to the Georgetown District Senior Centre.
