It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joe Balson Sr. on Thursday May 9th, 2013, suddenly but peacefully at his home in Georgetown. Dear husband of Connie Balson for 50 years. Loving father of Kim Litwiller (Scott), Stacey Donaldson (Kirk) and Joey. Proud Papa of Stephen, Shayne, Sheldon, Sydney, Gesse, Jake and Rebecca. Joe was born in Weston, Ontario, and moved to Georgetown in 1965 and owned and operated the "GULF" service station for 30 plus years, with his brother-in-law the late Ray Roberts. Dear brother of Betty and Ruby and predeceased by brother Alfred and sisters Eva and Jean. Until we meet again… Joe/Dad/ Papa.
Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Monday May 13th from 7-9 pm and on Tuesday May 14th from 10-11 am. Funeral liturgy will be held in the chapel on Tuesday May 14th at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place.
