John Sidor

Sidor, John Michael (Canada Border Services Officer with the Canada Border Services Agency) – Suddenly, on Sunday March 2, 2025. John, 64 years of age, loving and beautiful husband, best friend and soul mate of Denise (nee Weindl) for the past 37 years. Beloved son of the late Phyllis and Wasil Sidor and beloved son-in-law of Christel Weindl and the late Dietrich Weindl. Loved brother of Donna, Bill (Linda), Terry (Lisa) and Bruce (Nancy). Dear uncle of Courtney (Andrew), Bryce (Stacey) and Jamela (Lincoln) and great uncle of Payton, Emerie, Quinn, Ivy, Destiny, Avery and Christian. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by many friends, colleagues and neighbours. John loved fishing in Florida, searching for sea shells and helping the sea birds, puttering around the house, gardening and long walks with Denise and their dog “Harley D.”. John will be forever remembered by Denise as being the most kind, caring, loving and wonderful, beautiful man, and for the deep true love that they shared together for 37 years. His infectious smile and laughter will be remembered forever.

Family and friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Wednesday from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. A Celebration of John’s Life will be held in the chapel on Thursday March 13, 2025 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Trafalgar Room. Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated. Those wishing to donate directly to the family may do so at the Funeral Home.
