John "Jack" Wedgewood

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle and a friend to so many. Jack left us on April 22nd, 2025 in his 87th year. He leaves behind to mourn him his wife of 64 years Leslie, daughter Leanne (Todd Symington), predeceased by his son Douglas (2021). He will be dearly missed and mourned by his brother Tom and sister-in-law Annie Wynott, Jack was predeceased by his brother Ted (2008) and sister Kathy (2020). Also left to mourn are his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jim and Wendy Blanchard and Susan and Pierre Cantin and sister-in-law Judy Wedgewood. Uncle Jack and his quirky jokes will be sorely missed by all his nieces and nephews. Jack found his greatest joy in helping others. If anybody new moved into the neighbourhood he was always introduced as the “guy that you called for help”. Jack always found the sunny side of life and his laughter, optimism and jokes will be missed by all that knew him.

A private cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest with his beloved son Doug in Erin Cemetery following a family service.
