Higgins, John "Jack"- Suddenly after a brief illness on Wednesday, June 11th, 2014 at the Georgetown Hospital. Jack, in his 81st year, beloved husband of Linda Puncheon. Loving step-father of Anne Puncheon. Dear brother of Mildred Cope (John), the late Laurence Higgins (Olga) and the late Leo Higgins (Rose) (the late Mary). Jack will be lovingly remembered by his many adored nieces and nephews. Jack was very proud to have played on 2 winning Memorial Cup teams in 1952-1953 and 1953-1954. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Friday from 4-7 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church (14400 Argyll Rd., Georgetown) on Saturday, June 14th at 9:30 am. Cremation.
