John passed peacefully, with his family by his side, on Sunday January 27, 2019 at the Georgetown Hospital at the age of 85. Devoted husband of the late Rosanne MacKenzie (nee Mitchell).
Predeceased by his brother Eben and sister Cathy.
Loving father of Cathy (Michael), Kelly (Colin), John (Lorraine) and Eileen (Jack). Dearly beloved grandfather to Scott, Megan, Mackenzie, Jack, Mitchell, Catherine, Kaleigh, John and Samantha. Survived by his sister Eileen and brothers Ricky and Gordon. He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews from Scotland and England and the ones nearby.
Right Worshipful Brother John Glass, past Grand Senior Warden, will be honoured in front of family and friends with a Masonic service. The Masonic service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
Visitation to be held at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday January 31, 2019 at 2 p.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
