John passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital with family at his side on Saturday March 8th, 2014 in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Jean. Loving father to Jodi and Craig Hall, Jennifer and Richard Ponsonby, Jeffrey and Tammy Gilberds. John's pride and joy were his 8 grandchildren: Zachary, Kyle, Matthew, Nicole, Hannah, Charlotte, Jaime-lyn and Tyler. John will be remembered by brother Jim and his wife Gail and their children. John's passion was playing golf and he will be missed by the many friends he made at the golf course. A celebration of John's life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., Georgetown. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. with a service to follow in the chapel. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Ontario Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.
