Gibson, John Gerrard - Peacefully on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Georgetown Hospital. John, in his 88th year, beloved husband of the late Cecilia Murphy. Loving father of Gerry, Katherine (Robert Roy), John (Georgina), Mary (Leo Falls), Dennis (Shawna), Elizabeth (Robert Ramage), Eileen (John Anderson), and pre-deceased by his daughter Josephine (Peter Scharfenberg). Lovingly remembered by his 19 grandchildren, their spouses and 20 great-grandchildren. Pre-deceased by his brothers James and Joseph. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Ave., Georgetown, (905)877-3631 on Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church (14400 Argyll Road,Georgetown) on Friday November 11th at 10:00 am. Cremation to follow.
