Johannes "Joe" Jan Van Leeuwen

Van Leeuwen, Johannes Jan "Joe"- Peacefully on Sunday February 4th, 2018 at the Brampton Civic Hospital. Joe, in his 89th year, beloved husband of Norine for 47 years. Devoted step-father of David (Bonnie) Thurlbeck, Doug (Levada) Thurlbeck and Margaret-Ann (Mike) Becker. Loving grandfather of Scott (Rachel), Candace (Adam), Rita (John), Stacy, Mathew and Katie. Great-grandfather of Henry. Joe was the only sibling of six children to leave Holland, and start a life in Canada. His parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers sadly all predeceased him. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Friday February 9th, 2018 from 10:00 am until time of Funeral service held in the chapel at 11:00 am.
