Peacefully, in the presence of his loving and devoted family, on Monday June 9, 2025 at the Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga. Joe, in his 59th year, beloved husband of Noella for 36 years. Loving father of Justin (Daniella) and Meagan (Mike). Beloved son of the late Ernestina and Sergio Carvalho. Cherished son-in-law of Maria and Alberto Vieira. Dear brother of Liberta (Joao) Gomes, Maria (Manuel) Pacheco and the late Juvenalia Vieira. Brother-in-law of Jose Manuel Vieira and Victor Vieira (Sandy). Joe will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews : Walter (Stephanie), Grace (Manuel), Nancy, Lisa (John), Frank (Cathy), Jennie, Steven (Michelle), Paul (Dimitra), Jason (Amanda), Victoria, Lucas and the late Nelson (Ana), along with his many great-nieces and great-nephews. Joe will be sadly missed by his tight circle of friends.

Joe had an unique sense of humor and was a very kind, caring, genuine and loving person who was the go-to guy for all things “I.T.” and was the jack-of-all trades. He was known for his love of fine wine, joy in travel and adventures, and his passion for scuba diving and the sea. Joe will be forever remembered for the deep love that he had for his family and close friends.

Family and friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.  Parish prayers will be held in the chapel at 2:30 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church (14400 Argyill Rd., Georgetown) on Monday June 16, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Assumption Cemetery, Mississauga.

Memorial contributions to the Cancer Research Society (Gastro Esophageal Cancer Research) would be greatly appreciated.
