Passed away peacefully on Sunday April 28, 2024 at the Georgetown Hospital. Joao, in his 90th year, beloved husband of the late Juventina (2020). Loving father of Joe Pacheco (Olga), Regina Elliott (Emile), Grace McArthur (Kevin), Liberta Spittal (Dean), Natalia (Mike) and the late Tony Pacheco (Kathy Major). Proud grandfather of Jackie, Dean, Michael, Kayla, Angela, Ryan, Kyle, Cheyenne and Olivia and great grandfather of Liam, Ella, James, Wiliam, Mackenzie and Alina. Joao was predeceased by his siblings Antonio, Manuel, Jose and Piadade.

Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown on Wednesday May 1, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Georgetown. Reception to follow in the Trafalgar Room at Jones Funeral Home.
