It’s with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Nanny, sister and friend, Joan Eloise Padillo. Joan was born on January 13th, 1949, in Blacks Harbor New Brunswick and sadly passed away on May 27th, 2025 in Georgetown, Ontario.

Joan’s life was defined by her unwavering kindness and love. Known for her infectious smile, big heart and charming sense of humour. Dear daughter of (the late) Burton and Royce Armstrong. Loving mother to Michael and Wendy (Joe), loving sister to Dianne (Leonard) Allan, Gary (Doris) Armstrong, Blake Armstrong, and her sister (the late) Judy Dodd. Cherished Nanny to Owen and Sophia, who she loved more than life. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Her gentle spirit and compassionate heart touched the lives of all who knew her.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, Ontario. Friends and family will be received on Friday June 6th, 2025, between 2:00 pm-4:00pm.
