Jean Hood Craig

Jean passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Beloved wife of John for 64 wonderful years — an anniversary they were blessed to celebrate together just last week. Loving mother of Glen and Shirley. Cherished grandmother of Cameron (Kaylee), Tyler, Abby, and Aidan. Jean will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by the entire Hunter Clan and the Craig family, as well as her many treasured friends.

Born in Scotland, Jean emigrated to Canada in 1966, settling in Scarborough where she built a beautiful life rooted in family, friendship, and hard work. An entrepreneur at heart, she successfully owned and operated Sweet Rosie’s Cookies for many years, sharing her talent and warmth with the community she loved.

Jean embraced life fully. She loved a good glass of wine, dancing whenever she could, and spending time with her wide circle of friends. Her laughter, hospitality, and vibrant spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Trafalgar Room at Jones Funeral Home on Monday, April 6, 2026. Friends are welcome to stop in between 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. to share memories and celebrate Jean’s life.
