Janis Voegeli

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Janis Ferne Voegeli, on Thursday November 20th, 2025, at the Brampton Civic Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Janis is finally at peace, probably sitting and smiling in her garden in the sky.

Janis, at the age of 79 years, was the beloved wife of David Voegeli for 56 years. Loved mother of Kristen Voegeli and Erin Voegeli. Much loved Nana of Laurel Mae Goudy. Cherished sister of Andrea (Frank) Van De Valk. Loved Aunt of Scott Van De Valk and Kerri Reed. Much loved Great-Aunt of Caden, Chace and Colton Reed. Janis is predeceased by her beloved parents Kay (1969) and Bill Chaplin (1979), and by her dear brother Rick Chaplin (2022). Janis will be deeply missed by all her friends and family.

Friends will be received on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 10-11 a.m. at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905) 877-3631. Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. to celebrate Janis' life. Following the service, reception will be held in the Trafalgar Room.

In honour of Janis, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
