McFarlane, Janet Elizabeth — Passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Georgetown Hospital, in Georgetown, Ontario, at the age of 88.

Beloved wife of the late John McFarlane, with whom she shared 27 years of loving marriage. Cherished mother of Nick, Simon, and Elizabeth. Proud grandmother of Johnathon (Taylor). Dear sister of David (Pat), and the late Helen.

Janet will be deeply missed by her family and friends, including her St. George’s Anglican Church family.

Janet was a source of gentle warmth and quiet strength to all who knew her. Small in stature but mighty in spirit, her love and care left a lasting impression on the hearts of many. She was an avid reader, a devoted knitter, and a master of cryptic crosswords which she confidently completed in pen. Janet had a deep love for animals and a lifelong devotion to her faith. As a beloved member of St. George’s Anglican Church, Janet lived her values with humility and grace, touching the lives of those around her in quiet, meaningful ways.

She will be lovingly remembered for her gentleness, her care and her enduring spirit.

A memorial service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, 60 Guelph St, Georgetown on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will be held following the service.
