Oliver, James "Jamie" Scott- It is with great sadness and humble hearts, we the family of James "Jamie" Scott Oliver, announce the passing of our beloved Son, Husband, Father, Brother, Family Member and Friend. Jamie passed away suddenly at his home in Georgetown on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Jamie was born December 7, 1963, in Toronto. Jamie is the son of David Oliver and Linda ''Lynn" (Byford) Oliver. Jamie leaves behind the love of his life and best friend, Wendy (Chiasson) Oliver. Jamie was also a beloved father to his children; Amanda, Sarah, Christopher and Sara. He will also be deeply missed by his sister, Susan (Oliver) Clelland and brother in law André Clelland. Jamie will be forever loved and dearly missed by all of his nieces, nephews and his grandnephew. Jamie will also be missed by the entire Chiasson family. Jamie was an employee of Circa for many years. He had many passions in life. Jamie had the talent of taking on projects that no one else would ever consider. Jamie loved the outdoors, and some of his best times were shared with his closest and dearest friends, who will sadly miss him. To say Jamie valued his family would be a tragic understatement. Jamie was always there, and greatly cared for not only his family and friends, but strangers he met along his journey in life. Jamie always had a positive outlook on life and that outlook became contagious towards many. Jamie touched countless lives with his unforgettable personality. Jamie's heartfelt hugs and admirable smile will forever be in our hearts. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave. Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Sunday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday July 22, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Toronto Western Hospital in care of Spinal Cord Research Centre and to Emma's House Foundation.
