On Wednesday, May 15, 2024 Jim Bailey passed away peacefully at Georgetown Hospital into the arms of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
James Solman Bailey was born on October 8, 1935 in Brampton, Ontario to Bill and Mary, the youngest of three boys.
By age 15 he was driving an oil truck for his dad "Bill Bailey the Oilman". Shortly thereafter, he married the love of his life Catharine Ann (Kay) Norton whom he shared 66 wonderful years with. Jim went into the earth moving and excavation business and did this for most of his life. He was a man of integrity who did business with a handshake. Church was a vital part of who he was.
Jim leaves behind a legacy of his wife and his two daughters, Sue (Ted) Seres of Cambridge and Kim (Rob) Osmond of Georgetown and four grandchildren, Brandon Osmond, Brooke (James) Griffin, Trent (Hillary) Seres and Brett Seres and great grandad to Melanie Seres.
Jim enjoyed spending time at the cottage, especially when the family was all there.
Until we meet again......
There will be a private family interment at the Glen Williams Cemetery followed by a memorial service at the Limehouse Presbyterian Church.
