James "Jim" Joseph Egerton

Egerton, James Joseph, July 22nd, 1948 - July 24th, 2019. Jim peacefully at the Chatham Kent Hospital after suffering a heart attack on his 71st birthday. Dear husband of 45 years to Frances Burns. Beloved father of  Denise (Egerton) & Kevin Bennett of Guelph  and Stephen & Shannon Egerton of California. Beloved son of the late Catherine (Kay) and James Louis Egerton. Dear brother of Bernie & Lauren Egerton, Theresa & Bruce McEachern, Peter & Mary Egerton, Mary Lou & Steve Foreman, Anne & Richard Jefferies, John & Kim Egerton and the late Paul Egerton (2018) and  Catherine Egerton. Jim is lovingly remembered by Frances and her 10 siblings and their spouses along with 48 nieces and nephews  and 41 great nieces and nephews. Jim will be missed by his uncle Jack Greenslade, and his aunt Sr. Marie Greenslade.
Please join the family for a Celebration of Life on Friday August 2, 2019 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.  at the J.S. Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., Georgetown. Private family interment will be held.
If desired donations can be made to the University Health Network /Toronto General. The Egerton Family wishes to acknowledge the excellent and compassionate care Jim received at the Chatham Kent Hospital.  Jim and Francie were long time residents of Georgetown only recently relocating to Chatham.
