It is with deep sadness, but with great love and gratitude, that the family of Jack Hamilton announces his passing on March 6, 2026, at the age of 95.

Jack was the devoted husband of the late Dorothy Hamilton for over 70 wonderful years.. He was the beloved father of Rob (Brenda), Nancy, and Donna (Bob); cherished grandfather of Blake (Taylor), Brock (Andra), Lindsay (Mike), Adam (Jenny), and Mitchell; and a proud great-grandfather to Greyson, Reign, Kennedy, Nash, Remi, and soon-to-arrive great-grandchild number six.

Born in New Liskeard, Ontario on May 1, 1930, Jack moved to Georgetown as a teenager, where he met the love of his life, Dorothy. Together they built a beautiful life, raising three children and creating a close and loving family.

Jack was a proud supporter and champion of his family. Whether through sports, encouragement, or quiet advice, he led by example and instilled in all of us the values of hard work and integrity.

A lifelong lover of golf, Jack found great joy on the fairways. He was a dedicated member of The Club at North Halton for more than 70 years, where he formed lasting friendships and spent countless happy days playing the game he loved. Jack was honoured to be recognized as a member of the League of Gentlemen; a reflection of both his character and his long-standing presence at the club.

Jack built a successful career with Standard Products, which took him and Dorothy to South Carolina for a time before they returned to Georgetown to be close to family and friends. In every stage of life, Jack was someone people could rely on; generous with his time, ready to lend a hand, and always grateful for the life he shared with Dorothy.

Dad, it’s time to rest — your work here is done. Your legacy lives on through your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We will miss you deeply and carry your love, lessons, and memories in our hearts forever.

Family and friends will be received at The Club at North Halton, 363 Maple Ave, Georgetown, on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. to celebrate Jack’s life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Georgetown Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
