Ilija Bartulovic

Ilija Bartulovic, age 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26th, 2025 at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga surrounded by family.  Ilija was born on July 30th,1945 in Bugojno to parents Kata and Pero Bartulovic and immigrated to Canada in 1996 together with his wife and children.

He is deeply missed by his beloved wife Iva of 57 years, his son Dragan and grandchildren Emma (Johnathan) Markovic, Tina, and their mother Snjezana Marjanovic, his son Goran, his daughter Zvonka (Dario) Hortik and grandchildren Luka and Rocco, and his great-granddaughter Isabella Markovic.

Brother to Dragica, Ivanka and Pero (Ana), cousin to Nada Svitlica, brother-in-law to Marko (Ivanka), Ivan, and Dragica. Predeceased by late brothers Jozo and Ljupko, and late brothers-in-law Jure, Pero, Vlatko and Blago. He will be deeply missed by all their families, and all who knew him.

Family and friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown on Wednesday May 28th from 6-9 p.m. Prayers will be held in the chapel at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday May 29th, 2025 at 10 a.m. at the Queen of Peace Croatian Franciscan Centre, 9118 Winston Churchill Blvd., Norval. Burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery, Mississauga.
