Hilary Sallay

HILARY SALLAY passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 20th, 2021, surrounded by family at the young age of 74. Hilary will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, two children, four grandchildren, step-father, two sisters, nieces and nephews both in Canada and England.
Hilary was born in Ebbw Vale, Wales in 1946. She loved all animals, especially horses, as a young girl. She met her husband-to-be, Les, in London England and travelled with him to Canada in 1967, landing in Montreal, Quebec, where she married Les that same year. They moved to Brampton, Ontario, had two children and lived there for 16 years. Sharing a passion for horses and riding, Les and Hilary moved to Glen Williams, Ontario with their children in the mid 1980s. They had a hobby farm with horses and took in many abandoned, wayward animals who needed a home and tender loving care. Hilary loved nature. She and her husband spent weekends and vacations trail riding with their horses across Ontario.
Hilary was glamorous, beautiful, a kind and warm-hearted person. She was a wonderful travel agent for 25 years and an amazing disc jockey for over 20 years. Music was also an important part of her life as was family and their many friends. She always had a cup of tea ready for visitors or those who needed a shoulder to cry on.
