Hermine Angela Hammer

Hermine Angela Hammer, Passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024 in the Georgetown Hospital, at the age of 87 years.

Born to her Mother Angela Schlatzer in the town of Lesing, Austria, she was a Daughter, a Sister, an Aunt, and most importantly to Hermine a Wife, a Mother, and an Oma. Hermine was the beloved wife of the late Gus, a devoted Mother of Jim, Russell and Deborah, a dear Oma to Natasha, and a caring friend to so many hearts.

Hermine is predeceased by her loving Mother Angela, her Father in-law Johan, her Brothers Arthur and German, her Sister Bertha, her in-laws Eddie, Linda, Manfred, Nephew Helmut, Nieces Hunnel and Ursula, and her walking friend Anna.

Hermine leaves behind her Sister and Brother in-laws Monica, Fred and Pat, along with Nieces and Nephews Petra, Sissie, Renee, John, and Andrew. She will be missed by her dear friends Rick and Anne, Karen, Mary Lou, along with the Barber and Detterman families.

Hermine will be lovingly remembered for her boisterous laugh, spirituality, and her great appreciation for nature and animals. Her delicious cooking and baking will be something greatly missed by her family, friends, and all those who knew her.

Hermine’s Service and Celebration of Life will be held at the Jones Funeral Home in Georgetown, on December 14th from 2-4pm, please arrive at 2pm and the Service will begin.

In honour of Hermie, please wear something red to honour her favourite colour and her love for fashion. We will also have a ‘Memory Table’ at the celebration, so bring a favourite photo of Hermie to place on the table for the evening’s viewing (then you can take it back home with you).
