Upon turning 21 he transferred into the Air Force and trained to be a pilot. When the Air Force sent him to Edmonton his life changed. It was in that town that he met the love of his life, Mary, he married her and brought her back east to settle and raise a family. Henry worked hard to support his family by being employed at Avro Aero, Domtar Paper Mill and lastly at Sheridan College in Brampton. He loved and enjoyed working at the college that he didn't retire until he was 66. Henry adored his family and loved to read, garden, putter around the house, and sit with Radar on his lap on a sunny afternoon. Henry was known as "Mr. Fixit" as there was nothing he couldn't repair. Henry was always there to help family and friends and will be missed by all. Henry is survived by Mary, his loving wife of 69 years. He will be missed by his son Bill and wife Margaret; and his daughter Sandy and husband Gary. Poppa will be greatly missed by loving grandsons, Mike and Jeffrey and Joanna, and great-grandchildren; Mason, Avery and Reid. Rest now Poppa, as you are with the angels xoxo.
