Preston, Gordon Charles –
Peacefully, on Saturday October 11, 2025 at the Georgetown Hospital. Gord, 88 years of age, beloved son of the late Violet and George Preston. Loved brother of the late Gilbert (Elva) Preston and Shirley (Orville) Usher. Dear uncle of Ron (Garth) Usher, Janet (Dennis) Gordon, Anne Usher and the late Sharon Mashinter. Fondly remembered by Dave Mashinter. Great uncle of Neil (Mel), Carly (Shaun), Matt, Michelle (Kyle), Jim (Cindy) and Debbie (Jason). Gord was a great great uncle of 10 nieces and nephews.
Gord started working at the family business, Preston's Grocery Store in Glen Williams, at the age of 16 and later as an owner and operator until his retirement in 2010. Gord loved woodworking in his shop at his home, playing euchre with his friends over the years and researching every aspect of the history of Glen Williams.
A Celebration of Gord's Life will be held on Tuesday October 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Glen Williams Cemetery.
