Glen Herbert Emerson

Emerson, Glen Herbert- Passed away peacefully in his 91st year, Feb 27, 2016 at Allendale in Milton surrounded by family. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 68 years, Margaret and his daughters Glenda Wood (Dale), Sharon Coffen (Rupert), Marilyn Dunnett (Frank), Dianne Roden (Allan), ten loving grandchildren and fifteen adoring great grandchildren.
Glen leaves behind brother Raymond (Winnie) in Sidney B.C., brother Goldie (Jackie) in London, and sister Hilda in Stratford. Glen and Margaret were long time residents of Georgetown. Glen was a former Mathematics teacher at Georgetown District High School from 1963 to 1984 and Vice Principal for the opening of Park Public School in 1958. Margaret and Glen were charter members of St Andrew's United Church, and members of the Georgetown Seniors Centre, where you could find Glen every Thursday playing his beloved game of Chess. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Andrew's United Church (89 Mountainview Rd., S., Georgetown) on Friday March 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
